Lana Mrkonja

PhD Student

The main focus of my research is maladaptive reward and punishment attentional processing and how these relate to addiction and related behaviors (e.g., compulsive behaviors). I also study behavioral interventions using reward-related attentional bias modification.

I first joined the lab in 2022 as a Master's student, and continued as a PhD candidate in 2024. My PhD project, supervised by Reinout Wiers, focuses on assessing and changing attentional prioritization in addictive behaviors using novel cognitive tasks (for more information on the project see Reward Learning and Processing).
